hawaii // Kelsey + curt

Aloha! Where do I even start?!

Lets just say this shoot has been in the works for years! Kelsey and I have tried to make our schedules align a few times in the past. We are both from the same town back in Maryland but with busy summer schedules it just never worked out when they came back for a visit. But I think everything happens for a reason because I am so thankful we were finally able to connect in Maui, Hawaii!

Kelsey and Curt have lived here for a few years now and it has definitely become their home. Whether its surfing, yoga, hiking, or so many other travels, these two are always up for an adventure! One thing that I admire so much about Kelsey is her perseverance and positivity. You would never know from these photos that just last year she was in a terrible car accident involving a drunk driver. She broke her femur bone and with Curt by her side, spent most of this year restoring her strength. I truly don't think she skipped a beat. And you best believe she was back in the water faster than you could imagine!

Like I've said before, their love and passion for the water is almost as strong as their love for each other. So combining the two was a no brainer.

Liz & Ryan are Married!

LizRyanSP-51.jpg

I knew this wedding was going to be one I cherished before it even arrived. Two of the sweetest and kindest humans on Earth were getting married on this day! Ever since Ryan and Liz's engagement session last summer, I knew April 14th was going to be 100X more magical and filled with even more love than that day at the beach.

Despite having the same circles of friends, Ryan and Liz didn't meet until they crossed paths at a ski resort during college. Ryan locked eyes with Liz and got the courage to ask her right then and there, if she wanted to go get pizza. The answer was yes and a quick lunch date turned into hours of conversation and spilling their entire life stories to each other. I think these two quickly realized that this was the first of many!

Fast forward to their wedding day and although there was no pizza, I think I got a glimpse of what these two looked like on their first date. The admiration and love that Liz and Ryan have for each other is immeasurable. The joy was witnessed not only by myself but by all their friends and family as well. There is no doubt in my mind that God brought these two together for a reason and I can't wait to see where life's adventures take them as husband and wife!
