Vicky & Chris are Married!

I met Vicky and Chris for the first time when we got together for their engagement session in Cambridge, MD. It was one of those sessions where I just could. not. stop. shooting! And I mean that literally. Every time I said we were almost done, I was secretly lying. Every time I said "last one" I took about 10 more... Chris probably wanted to kill me! The sun went down and we were still shooting... I did everything I could with my camera to keep these photos from coming out too dark because these two were beyond photogenic and the backdrop was straight out of a movie. SO! To say I was just a tad excited for their wedding day would be an understatement.

And just as I suspected. The same thing happened on their wedding day... The Addy Sea Bed and Breakfast in Bethany Beach, DE was the perfect sleepy beach town location for Vicky and Chris to become husband and wife. Nestled on the dunes, cedar shake galore, and a little boardwalk guiding you to the beach... it was something out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. I love that this was somewhat of a destination wedding for Vicky, Chris, and their families. Though coming to the beach has been a family tradition for years, both live over the bridge. It was so fun to see everyone packed into this quaint bed and breakfast. Every room was filled with family and with all the bedroom doors opened into the hallway, it felt like a big house party. From beginning to end this weekend was one big vacation and celebration.

If you follow me on Instagram, you will have noticed a few photos from this wedding already! I had to restrain myself from posting all of Vicky's amazing details of the day. I loved every single one of them! From her dress, to her sparkly Kate Spade sneakers, to both of their amazing wedding bands... everything had me wishing I could do my wedding all over again! Besides Chris and Vicky, I couldn't stop myself from taking a ton of photos of their flower girls! The tulle skirts were so adorable and I loved how they took their role in the day so seriously. They were ready to help with anything they could and admired the bride all day.

If I could have one thing at every wedding, it would be open air receptions. That means dancing under the stars, stringed lights overhead, and in this case, the sound of the ocean and salty air in the background. I just don't think it gets any more romantic than that. Vicky and Chris had their first dance at dusk and continued to celebrate through the night with all their family and friends.

Vicky and Chris, I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend such a beautiful weekend! Thank you for letting me be a small part of your love story. I wish you all the best and many more happy years of coming to the beach : ) All the love!

Ravyn & Connor are Married!

High School sweethearts and honestly, the sweetest couple I have ever had the honor of working with! From the moment we met at my home, I instantly clicked with Ravyn and Connor. Our conversation started in full daylight and before I knew it, I was getting up to turn a light on in my dining room because I realized the sun had gone down and it was getting really dark in my house! Time flew by and after they left, I was anxiously daydreaming about how their wedding day would unfold. Needless to say, it was like a real life fairytale and I was so lucky to be a part of it.

These two met at a halloween party. Ravyn was dressed as a cavewoman and Connor was Brad "Parsley" (<<--- amazing). Like Ravyn said, thankfully she likes the color green! These two hit it off that night and have been together ever since. I love that Ravyn and Connor share a passion for so many of the same things. One of them being the outdoors. They love camping, hiking trails, and even identifying trees, plants, birds, and other creatures. They were even doing it on their wedding day! I would be taking a photo and together they got distracted by the type of tree we were standing under... I just love that!

So it was no coincidence that Ravyn and Connor chose Furnace Town as their wedding location. Surrounded by nature, these two said their vows at the base of the furnace ramp. Although I have documented a number of weddings at Furnace Town, I have been patiently waiting for a couple to have their ceremony here as well. Especially in the exact spot they chose! It was truly magical.

Like I mentioned before, Ravyn and Connor share many similarities. But my favorite of them all is their love for God. I remember when I asked Connor and Ravyn what their favorite traits were for each other. They both responded with "His faith" and "Her faith". It gave me goosebumps and honestly, I felt it was one of the most romantic answers I've ever gotten. Before the ceremony, Ravyn and Connor had their first look and during this time they took a moment to stop and pray together. Even on their wedding day, Ravyn and Connor chose to put God first. It was such an intimate and special moment that I was honored to document.

Even with a few heavy showers before the ceremony, everything fell into place. The rain stopped just as Ravyn was coming down the aisle and that was the last of it. Connors reaction, as Ravyn walked towards him through the trees, says it all.

Ravyn and Connor, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day!! I know that God has an amazing plan for your lives and I can't wait to see where it takes you as husband and wife. I wish you all the best!
