Although these two were frozen to the bone by the time our shoot was over it felt like the perfect way to kick off my spring season! It may look like it was a sunny and 65 degree spring afternoon... but take note to Gina's breath in the second to last photo of the blog! It was a bit chilly... but they were champs and it was well worth the time spent. We had gorgeous golden light and even got a visit from a few of Assateague's finest ponies!
I have been looking forward to finally working with Gina and Ryan for a few months now. You see, in Facebook land I had been following Gina for a awhile and was super excited to see that she and Ryan were on a trip in Bali this past winter! This is where my brother lives and definitely a place close to my heart. Then all the sudden a few days into their trip Ryan proposed to Gina and these two were engaged to be married! Sitting on the couch, I leaned over to drew and showed him a cute photo of these two and said, "I really hope they get in touch with me for photos!" Well soon enough I received a message from Gina and couldn't have been more excited! Gina and Ryan are planning an amazing destination wedding for next winter and then plan to have another reception at home to celebrate with all their friends and family. Needless to say, its going to be perfect. Especially if its anything like the time I spent with just the two of them for their engagement session.
When Gina was telling me how much they love to travel and that they have a map pinned with everywhere they have been and plan to go I was thrilled. Drew and I have the exact same thing in our home and traveling is definitely a priority in our household! So relating to Gina and Ryan was no problem for me! Gina also spent 6 months in New Zealand, which is one of my all time favorite places in the world. I can't wait to pick her brain about her time their next time we get together!
Gina and Ryan, thank you a million times over for allowing me to document your love story. I am so excited for the big day and can't wait to see you both tie the knot next year. Your love for each other is a beautiful thing and I feel honored to be a part of the day.
