Sara and Blake, these two are something else. The playful and flirtatious connection these two have with each other made my job so easy and so fun. I had the biggest smile on my face the entire day! Even with the rainy weather, these two were focused on nothing more than becoming husband and wife.
While Blake and Sara got ready on separate floors of the Atlantic Hotel, Main Street were packed with people listening to the fiddlers just outside their window. Hay bails lined the streets and even with a sprinkling shower, the town came out to listen. This is one of my favorite weekends of the year. I love that from my own home, I can hear the fiddlers playing. And thats just what it was like for Sara and Blake as they got ready the morning of their wedding day. Windows open, the pitter patter of rain drops, and fiddles humming in the background. Who needs a wedding day playlist when you have that?!
Sara and Blake were married in one of my favorite downtown churches. Actually, I had never been inside this church until their wedding day! But this church is just three houses down from the house I grew up in and I played on that brick wall lining the property my entire childhood. It was so nostalgic to see their ring bearer doing the same thing after the ceremony. Now that I have photographed this church it will be hold and even more special place in my heart. The big red doors, the white brick, and the trees that canopied over the entrance... it was perfect.
I have to talk about one of my favorite parts of this day. I know I haven't been around Blake for too much time but I could tell that this was very much a "Blake" moment. After exchanging their rings, Blake leaned in and almost kissed Sara in the middle of the ceremony. You could tell it was by complete accident and 100% instinctual for Blake! So instead he quickly turned away and gave her a kiss on the cheek instead. Everyone got a good laugh including myself! It just goes to show how much these two love each other and how hard it was for Blake to keep his hands off of Sara for even just a couple minutes : )
Speaking of that, as soon as we got to The Rackliffe House for a few wedding party photos.. My job was done. I didn't need to direct these two one bit. Blake and Sara just loved on each other in the sweetest way and I did nothing but stand there and capture it. I love the silly and playful relationship they share and it made for the absolute best photos.
This celebration went all night and the dance floor was packed the entire time. I still cant get over how incredible all the decorations and details looked thanks to Angie at Encore Events. You turned this place into a dream and every time I had a second to rest, I found myself taking more and more detail shots of all your lovely work! I also had my fair share of Charcuterie... Liquid Assets in Ocean City catered their big day and I just have to say, Ill recommend them to ALL my couples. There displays were incredible!! And everything looked and tasted amazing! If you want some seriously classy catering. Liquid Assets.. hand down!
Sara and Blake, I cant thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of your love story. Meeting you both was a blessing and I mean it when I say, you two are some of the kindest souls Ive ever met. I wish you all the love and I cant wait to see what the future brings you both as husband and wife <3
