Don't you want to say "Sunny & Sam" over and over again?! It just rolls off the tongue so perfectly. Its like these two were destined for each other and I was so thankful to be there to capture this beauitful day.
When I arrived to The Inn at Perry Cabin, I was blown away with how beauitful this place was. I arrived 30 minutes early so I could walk the grounds and get a feel for where I would be shooting. I couldn't help but feel like I had been here before. The familiarity of my surroundings was strange and I just assumed it was because it was similar to some other venues I had photographed. Well it wasn't until the cocktail cruise that someone was telling me that some of the scenes from the popular movie "Wedding Crashers" was filmed here! When we pulled up to the venue by boat just before sunset, it all made sense. Beyond this awesome fact, I fell in love with the rooms of this Inn. Every room was different but all decorated so beautifully. And the natural light that spilled into these rooms was incredible! Between the outside landscaping, architectural design, and interior design, the backdrops for me were endless!
And to top it all off, I had Sunny and Sam as my bride and groom. Talk about some seriously good looks and style! That electric blue suit and her high collared dress... Getting to photograph so many amazing styles that I could never pull off myself is one of the most fun parts of my job. This modern coastal vibe was perfect for their day because Sunny and Sam chose to get married on The Patriot. A boat docked next door to their venue and who better to marry them than the Captain himself! Yes, he even wore his classic captains hat : )
After the ceremony everyone stayed aboard to embark on the most beautiful cocktail cruise. Can you believe that in November we were able to be outside on the water!? It was incredible and such a cool feeling to pull up to your wedding reception by boat. This celebration went all night. Literally! After the formal reception came to an end, Sunny and Sam had an afterparty just next door. More food, more music, more celebrations.
